Stir with a wooden spoon often.<br \/>\nDon\u2019t worry if it takes longer\u2026.patience is required.<br \/>\nOnce cooked, strain through a jelly bag.<br \/>\nDo not be impatient and squeeze the jelly bag as this will cause the jelly to become cloudy.<br \/>\nA clear jelly looks gorgeous in the jars.<br \/>\nBring the measured juice to the boil and add sugar gradually\u2026..for every 1 cup juice, add 1 cup sugar.<br \/>\nStir continually over a moderate heat until sugar is dissolved.<br \/>\nThen bring to a rolling boil until setting point is reached.<br \/>\nTo test put a little jelly on a cold saucer\u2026leave to cool slightly.<br \/>\nIf set it will wrinkle when touched and if you run your finger through it, the gap will remain open.<\/p>\n<p>Pour jelly into clean sterilised jars* and seal.<\/p>\n<p>*To sterilise, place clean jars into the oven at 120C for 30 minutes.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-2570\" src=\"http:\/\/www.hobbsorchard.co.nz\/blog\/hobbsorc_blog\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/Screen-Shot-2019-04-24-at-6.43.59-PM-e1556089054520.png\" alt=\"Screen Shot 2019-04-24 at 6.43.59 PM\" width=\"600\" height=\"902\" \/><\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>We still have plenty of apples available &#8211; picked fresh every day &#8211; Golden Delicious, Braeburn, Red Delicious&#8230;&#8230;Royal Gala will be finished by the weekend \ud83d\ude42 And we also have quinces available in 3kg bags or 5kg boxes &#8211; here&#8217;s Mum\u2019s quince jelly recipe ?
