{"id":3162,"date":"2023-01-29T21:11:26","date_gmt":"2023-01-29T08:26:26","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.hobbsorchard.co.nz\/blog\/hobbsorc_blog\/wordpress\/?p=3162"},"modified":"2023-01-29T21:11:26","modified_gmt":"2023-01-29T08:26:26","slug":"3162","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.hobbsorchard.co.nz\/blog\/hobbsorc_blog\/wordpress\/?p=3162","title":{"rendered":""},"content":{"rendered":"<p><b>Fruit Update Sunday evening 29 January<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n<p>Well finally the<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>PYO signs are down\u2026..so many brave people arrived throughout the past few days who so wanted the experience of picking, more so, than the amount actually picked\u2026.they had a great time. <span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Many went down to the river block to take some photos with their families.<\/p>\n<p>Alas we have too shut it all down now &#8211; but wait..we will be back next year with PYO once again. <span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Mum started PYO, 33 years ago and PYO has created immense enjoyment for everyone.<\/p>\n<p>Finally I can say we have Billington plums on the stall in 2.4kg bags\u2026.they are small with red flesh\u2026 suitable for eating, stewing, sauce, and Jam<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>&#8211; a lovely plum.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Our Shiro plums are non-existent due to the appalling weather during setting time, as are the Back Amber plums\u2026. I still feel sad our Wilsons Early plums were attacked but the heavy rain after they endured the snow and frost combo last year.<\/p>\n<p>Plenty of Clutha Gold apricots on Stall in 5kg &amp; 6kg boxes.<\/p>\n<p>Hawera, and Louisa plums won\u2019t be for a while..will keep you posted. <span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Bon Chretian\/Bartlett pears should be in maybe 10 days.
