Fruit and Courier Update
Sorry to say we are unable to send any more Courier orders to the North Island until further notice, as Covid has struck down many of the North Island NZ Couriers staff, particularly in Auckland.
We will have an update next Tuesday to when we can send fruit to the North Island again
The majority of the North Island orders I sent out on Monday, before I was told of this situation, have been delivered.
Very grateful to NZ Couriers for getting the majority delivered safely, especially with skeleton staff
My heart goes out to all those affected by this cruel virus and I hope everyone recovers swiftly

At present all South Island Courier orders are still up and running hence you can still place your orders, which will be sent out next week on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.
For those who live in the North Island I am more than happy to take your orders which will be sent out as soon as everything is back on track.
Please remember you only pay if and when your order is delivered.

Fruit Update
Just a reminder to all those coming for PYO Moorparks, which starts this coming Saturday, to bring your own containers, whether they be shopping bags, laundry baskets or fish crates – our scales can manage all of these

There are still PYO Roxburgh Red apricots and these may be still available on Saturday if you can’t get up till then.
PYO Stevens Favourite apricots are still on track for next Tuesday.
If you aren’t into preserving apricots, there is another method which is really simple.
Just half the apricots and pop them into freezer bags
But always remember to cook from frozen, never let a bag thaw or they will be a brown mess.
You can also cook a stock pot full of apricots and when cool, put a cup of apricots into each freezer bag. No need for further cooking after they thaw.
Stewed apricots are lovely with yoghurt, ice cream, muesli and other breakfast cereals
They are also delicious when making apricot muffins, crumbles etc.
Report up at the Fruit Stall when you arrive for PYO and Mum,(Sandra) or I will point you in the right direction to the apricot of your choice
We have an amazing crop of Moorparks so plenty for everyone
