We are starting our PYO Red Haven Peaches, Sunglow Nectarines and Moorpark Apricots this Saturday!
The extreme heat we have been having lately has moved everything along nicely.
We won’t be advertising in the paper this weekend either so that all our regular customers have the chance to get their fruit first.
See you then!
PYO Moorparks Still On Hold
Our PYO Moorparks will be starting again on Thursday once they have ripened sufficiently.
We still have some PYO Roxburgh Red and a handful of PYO Sundrop available.
We expect to start our Red Haven Peaches this Friday as well as our PYO Nectarines.
The 35c days we have been having is perfect for ripening up the fruit.
Let the good times roll!
Getting Low On PYO
We are starting get low on PYO Apricots.
We have a no Sundrop or Valley Gold left but we still have a few Roxburgh Reds and a good supply of Moorparks.
We have no Nectarines at the moment but the next variety (Sun Glow) should start at the end of the week.
We are hoping our Red Haven Peaches will start around the same time.
On the Stall we still have Apricots available as well as Shiro Plums (3kg for $6) and Red Gravenstein Apples (2.5kg for $5).
Still Have PYO But It’s All Ladder Work
We have had a massive few days of PYO.
We have pretty much been cleaned out of Valley Gold Apricots and the first variety of Nectarines.
We still have Roxburgh Red, Moorpark and some tree-ripened Sundrop Apricots available for picking but you must be willing and able to get up a ladder in order to get a good amount of fruit.
We have no Nectarines available right now but hope to have another variety available for PYO by the end of the week.
The Red Haven Peaches are not ripe yet but we expect them to be good to go by the end of the week/next weekend.
On the Stall we have a range of boxed Apricots as well as Red Gravenstein Apples* (2.5 kg bags for $5) and Shiro Plums (3kg bags of $9).
*Please note that the Red Gravenstein are $2/kg becuase they are a very early Apple. Our main Apples such as Royal Gala will still be $1/kg.
