January 19

The weather bomb hit us with a vengeance this morning.
Power lines dropped into the River Block after a tree broke the lines and twisted a power pole.
A great bunch of Delta boys were on the job in no time so the PYO Sundrops were available again from lunchtime.  ?

A few brave PYOers faced the weather conditions to get their bottling, freezing and stewing fruit. They deserved a medal for their courage. 😉

PYO Sundrops are still available and the Stall is always well stocked. Sundrops will be finished this Saturday or Sunday. 🙂

Our ‘Duff’s Early Jewel’ plums took a hammering so they are now finished.

The Billington plums weren’t affected by the storm but are still a few days away from ripening.

The PYO Nectarines will probably start on Monday.

PYO Roxburgh Red and Valley Gold apricots will definitely start on Saturday.

All the other fruit looks good so no worries in that department.  🙂

Give me a ring on 027 210 6457 or the Fruit Stall on 03 4468585 if you want a fruit or weather update anytime.
It appears tomorrow may be a decent day so everyone keep your fingers crossed
