31 July
View from our sunroom window this morningย ๐ย A tad nippy out there…..0.3 degrees at the moment. Both fires are roaringย ๐

23 July
Our first lot of new fruit trees arrived yesterday so Ruby and I spent today planting them outย ๐
They are replacing older trees that were past their used by date.
The next lot of trees should arrive at the end of next weekย ๐

We are Closed!
Well here we are, Friday the 27th of May 2016.
The Fruit Stall is now closed for the Season. ๐
A huge thank you to all our customers/friends who have supported us once again throughout the Season, because without you guys, we wouldn’t be in business; plain and simple. ๐
Throughout the winter months we will be pruning and planting out new trees and then when we finish with those jobs, it will be frost-fighting time and after that, straight into thinning the fruit and then before we know it we open the doors to the Fruit Stall once again!
We look forward to seeing you all again next Season or before. ๐

19 May
Ruby has been busy the past couple of days digging the last of our spuds to keep us fed over winterย ๐
She may be tiny but boy can she dig. ๐

April 18
Quinces have finished for the Season.
We still have heaps of Red Delicious apples and Braeburn apples on the Stall. ๐
10kg bags for $12 and 5kg bags for $6.
On another note here’s some autumn shots. ๐

April 15
In between picking apples today Ruby and our family friend Naomi spent some time collecting pine cones from under the Douglas Fir trees.ย โบย Gotta have a good supply of them for lighting the fires in winter. It’s not far away!!ย ?

7 April
Quinces will be on the Stall from Saturday.ย ๐
A good amount of pre-orders will be sent out early next week with the rest later in the week.
Itโs not to late to place an order โ just flick me a txt or email.
Same price as last year – $3-00/kg
3kg bags – $9-00 and 5kg bags – $15-00
Quince Jelly is delicious as is Quince Jam.ย ๐
And bottled quinces are very popular as they turn pink during processing.
Or cook up a big pot of quinces and your family will be impressed when they open the fridge door.
Great with breakfast cereal or with chocolate custard.
Quinces are not eaten raw as the flesh is very hard and sour, however, cooking softens the flesh and transforms the taste to a cross between an apple and a pear.
Braeburn apples are on the go now.
Crunchy Royal Gala and Red Delicious are still being picked so you havenโt missed out on them.
$6-00 -5kg bagโฆโฆโฆโฆ$12-00 โ 10 kg bag
Remember we are open 7 days a week from first light until dark. ๐

2 April
First pick of Braeburn apples today.
They have a delicious, crisp, juicy flesh and are a great eating and cooking apple.
They are also excellent keepers. ๐
Great for crumbles, pies, muffins and any other recipe that requires an apple. ๐
Stewed apples and custard is an easy dessert.
A lot of my mates stew up a pot full of apples and have them with store bought custard.
Those more adventurous make a simple custard from scratch.
Real blokes own an Edmonds Cookbook. ๐
We also have Red Delicious apples on the Stall as well.
They are nice and crunchy with a lovely red skin.
Royal Gala are still available and are lovely and sweet and a hit with the kids.
All apples are in 10kg bags for $12 and 5kg bags for $6. ๐

27 March
We have Royal Gala and Golden Delicious apples on the Stall. ๐
5kg bags for $6 and 10kg bags for $12.
Royal Gala are a lovely eating apple and Golden Delicious are a brilliant eating and cooking apple.
Braeburn and Granny Smith are still a couple of weeks away. ๐
Stay tuned. ๐
